This post is for our dear friend Ed Begley, Jr., who will be the featured keynote speaker on behalf of A.O.Smith at the 2011 Quality Service Contractors (QSC) Power Meeting XXXIV in Nashville, TN, on April, 8, 2011, at the Opryland Hotel. Besides having been known to turning up at Hollywood events on his bicycle and having a successful hit TV series, Living With Ed (which frequently covers topics involving solar energy), our wonderful Ed has also served as chairman of the Environmental Media Association and the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, and various other organizations, including Thoreau Institute and the Midnight Mission. His book Living Like Ed is now also on the top 7 must-read books for E-readers, according to Treehugger.com
This year’s QSC Power Meeting will be held on April 7-9 at the Opryland Hotel. QSC Power Meeting XXXIV participants also have the opportunity to take an A.O.Smith plant tour, where they will learn about water heater production, green products, and customer care practices. Ed’s keynote presentation, “Live Simply So That Others Can Simply Live“, will look into the state of the environment as he tells how he began his 40-year eco-journey in 1970. In honor of Ed Begley Jr., we will be looking at solar water heater tomorrow (in the following post).
