This is SO EXCITING!  I can’t wait to share the unveiling of Tesla 3 that many of us have been waiting for….Model 3 has achieved 215 miles of range (at minimum) per charge, with automatic safety features, starting at only $35,000 before incentive. Buyers of plug-in hybrids and electric cars benefit from a tax credit of $2,500 to $7,500, depending on the size of the battery in the car. On the low end of the spectrum, cars with 4 kWh battery packs will qualify for a $2,500 tax credit. The credit maxes out at $7,500 for cars with a 16 kWh battery pack, like the Chevy Volt. The credits were provided as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, otherwise known as the “stimulus bill.” (The incentive begins phasing out after an automaker sells 200,000 vehicles that are eligible for the credit.)

This is all part of Elon Musk’s effort in helping to speed up our transition toward the renewable future by accelerating world’s transition into sustainable transport. Let us give Elon Musk a round of applause for, unveiling of Tesla Model 3 (March 31, 2016 event), and for his contribution in slowing the CO2 emission into earth’s atmosphere….below:

Tesla Model 3 is essentially the fourth generation vehicle subsequent to Roadster, Model X, and Model S. Now Model 3 is designed to attain the highest safety ratings in every category. All Model 3’s will have supercharging capability (translating to freedom to travel) and be able to contain a 7-ft surfboard inside. There are currently about 3608 superchargers globally, about 3689 destinations superchargers. By the end of next year, number of superchargers will double ( to 7,200) and quadruple destination superchargers (to 15,000). The gigafactory will be busy, with high volume and the most advanced technology, and will be the world’s largest lithium ion cell producer…  50 gigawatt-hour per year of production!  It is the first Tesla electric vehicle that will be able to be massively afforded by general public and will definitely be able to dramatically help to reduce CO2 emission into our planet earth’s atmosphere. And thanks, Elon, for adding the autopilot feature into Model 3. Within the first 24 hours of its unveiling, there were 115,000 orders for Tesla Model 3. The world is definitely ready for Tesla Model 3!!! For those of you who want to order Tesla Model 3 online, please visit Tesla.com . Delivery will not begin until 2017 the earliest. Way to go, Elon!

Elon Musk, The Man Behind Tesla-SpaceX-SolarCity, Also Believes In Solar Future!

Share

Dear Friends, Visitors/Viewers/Readers,

(Please click on red links below)

I’ve got to share this TED talk with you! I enjoyed this clip so much that I kept on playing it over and over again. Even though I’ve previously written a post, Oct. 3, 2012, titled “Game Changer: Tesla’s Supercharger, Using Solar Power, Fills Your Tank For Free! it is great to  hear an even more in-depth discussion with Elon Musk, the South African-born American entrepreneur best known for founding SpaceX

and co-founding Tesla Motors

Tesla Model S

and PayPal. Elon Musk talks about the need for sustainable electricity energy production as well as sustainable consumption. It is great to hear some one who also agrees with the premise behind Sun Is The Future, that solar energy will ultimately become the major source of our energy production in the future. As he indicated, the Sun as our fusion generator in the sky, is waiting to be tapped for the continuation of our human civilization. Much of our ecosystem is already solar-powered. The important thing for us to do now is to get the cost of installation and cost of financing down. Therefore, Elon Musk also became the force behind SolarCity, an American provider of energy services to homeowners, businesses and government/non-profit organizations, to design, finance, and install solar energy systems, to perform energy efficiency audits and retrofits and to build charging stations for electric vehicles.  With the help of SolarCity concept, it would enable giant distributed utility, insuring future majority energy source being solar while allowing greater percentage of the human population to take part in the use and implementation of solar energy. Furthermore, you will get to see reusable rocket as part of the footage of this video clip. Enjoy the energy and intensity of Elon Musk, in this video below:
Hear! Hear! Elon! All of us in solar energy world applaud you for being a very significant part of the force working for the future of our humanity!

Game Changer:Tesla’s Supercharger, Using Solar Power, Fills Your Tank For Free !

Hi, Friends & Visitors/Viewers/Readers,

(please click on red links below)

More of Solar Decathlon Europe 2012 clips will continue to be uploaded on sunisthefuture Youtube Channel and http://www.sunisthefuture.net between/under September 30-October 2, 2012.

But right now, I am so excited about Tesla’s Supercharger that I’ve got to share this pieces of news/clip I’ve just received with you! Apparently, on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, the U.S. auto maker Tesla (specializing in electric cars), just opened a large network of service stations that provides free charges from the sun for their electric cars. The company Tesla Motors unveiled six stations called Supercharger (west) where it is based and will open more in high traffic corridors throughout continental USA. Tesla also indicated that Supercharging stations will be installed in Europe and Asia during second half of 2013, aiming to have more than 100 such stations in operation by 2015 and covering all of USA and lower part of Canada within 4-5 years. Take a look at this clip, below:

“The Tesla Supercharger network is a game changer for electric vehicles, offering long distance travel with a comfort level equivalent to that of gasoline cars in practical terms,” said Tesla CEO, Elon Musk. “We are giving the (auto) Model S’s ability to travel almost anywhere for free with pure sunlight.” The electricity used by stations Supercharger is generated by solar systems designed for more power to be used by cars, the company said. The Supercharger is able to charge to about 100 kW (perhaps even up to 120 kW in the future, translating to long distance driving of up to about 3 hours and stop to recharge for 30 minutes and be ready to go again).  Right now, one can drive almost any where using free power from the sun in California.  Soon, the Supercharging stations will also become available to a location near you!  Supercharging station will actually be able to produce more energy than it uses, therefore, be able to put excess energy into local power grid for general use.

The company, founded by Musk, co-founder of PayPal and SpaceX, in 2003, has a factory in Fremont, in northern California. Tesla sports car sold in more than $ 100,000 and launched its Model S at an initial price of USD 49 900. Without an internal combustion engine or transmission tunnel, the Model S has more cargo space than any other sedan, and includes a second trunk under the hood. This car reaches 100 mph in just 4.4 seconds, and includes an in-dash touch screen, Internet access, allowing listening to the radio and getting round navigation instructions from the web.

This is fantastic news! I will look forward to all future electric cars being able to run on free power/fuel from the sun and Supercharger possibly even supply some more energy for our power grid.  The future is looking brighter all the time!
